FREE BOOK  ·  AI EMPOWERMENT SERIES, BOOK 3

Everyone has the
same AI.
Almost nobody has connected it.

MCP Yourself! is a free book about where durable AI advantage actually comes from, and why connecting your real tools, data, and context is the move that compounds. Seven short chapters, plus five thinking lenses you can run on your own operation. Read it in an afternoon.

Free PDF and EPUB, sent to your email. No cost, no catch.

Same AI. Different Value.

The first lens in the book, in full. Its only job is to show you how connected your AI actually is today, before you spend another dollar making the model smarter. Most leaders dramatically overestimate how connected their AI already is. Run it on one part of your work right now. One row takes a few minutes; the full read across every area takes twenty to forty-five minutes the first time.

Chapter 1 · The Connectedness Read

The setup. Pick one area of your work that matters. A function, a team, a workflow. Then answer four questions about it, in order.

  1. What can your AI see today? The tools, data, and context it already reaches.
  2. What can it not see? The systems, records, and situational knowledge it is still blind to.
  3. Where is the brilliant stranger still guessing? The place a generic answer is quietly standing in for a connected one.
  4. Score the gap, 1 to 5. One means it already works like a colleague who knows your world here. Five means it is still a complete stranger.

4 of 5 · stranger

A 4 or 5 means the AI is a stranger in work valuable enough to feel it. Those rows are your first connection candidates. A 3 means partly connected and worth a targeted fix, not an urgent one. A 1 or 2 means it already works like a colleague there, so leave it and move on.

You just ran one row. The book gives you the full grid, four more lenses like this one, and the reason the highest-scoring row is almost never the one leaders expect.

Access is not the advantage. It has not been for a while.

The pilots have happened. Your people are already pasting things into chat windows, sanctioned or not, and the conversation has moved from whether to how much. Which makes the useful question a different one: if everyone has the same AI, what is left to compete on?

The idea the book is built on.

Generic AI

A brilliant stranger.

Extraordinary range. It has never seen your business.

Connected AI

A colleague who knows you.

Knows your systems, remembers your history, understands your customers.

Same intelligence. Completely different value.

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is what turned that connection from a bespoke, expensive, one-off project into something dependable enough to build on. In December 2025 the protocol was donated to the Agentic AI Foundation, backed by the Linux Foundation, with the major AI and cloud providers as members together. That is what makes it a standard you can plan around rather than a bet you are placing.

Seven chapters, in a deliberate order.

01.

The Context Advantage.

Why sameness at the model layer is the permanent floor, and where the advantage went instead.

02.

What MCP Actually Is.

The standard in plain English, decoded early, no acronym left hanging.

03.

The Three Things You Connect.

Tools so AI can act, data so it can know, context so it understands.

04.

From Talking to Connecting.

Where retrieval, memory, tool calling, and agents fit, made crisp instead of blurry.

05.

MCP Your Company.

How proprietary context becomes a moat a competitor running an off-the-shelf chatbot cannot copy.

06.

Why It's Hard to Do Well.

Security, governance, data quality, and integration debt. The truth the demo skips.

07.

The Connected Future.

Agents across a connected world, and the one connection to make this month.

Five thinking lenses you can actually run.

The Connectedness Read, the Tools, Data and Context Inventory, the Context-Readiness Lens, the Readiness-and-Risk Checklist, and your Connected-AI Roadmap. Decision tools, not build instructions.

What this book is not.

It is not a build manual: the book stops at the idea and the strategy, because the hard part is the execution, not the concept. And it is not a pitch: it names no product it was paid to name, and every reference at the back is third party except one, which sits as a single neutral option among alternatives.

Maycon Santos, co-founder and CTO of Inventeer Technologies. He leads the technical architecture behind Inventeer’s delivery model, including AI-assisted execution standards and engineering governance.

Inventeer is a Productivity Engineering company that turns business objectives into software products, automations and operations that are more intelligent, more efficient and more scalable. We do not deliver pieces of technology, we take on operation, and the operation comes with the metrics that prove whether it is improving.

That is why this book stops where it does. The four fronts in Chapter 6 are in it because crossing the gap between a connected demo and a connected operation is the work we take on, and it is wide.
